Spier Private Collection Sauvignon Blanc 2008
December 11, 2008
It’s been extremely hot here in Cape Town for the last few days - and windy too.
So after work one day I thought it a perfect time to whip out a bottle of Sav Blanc ( which is not my favourite varietal as you know but it seemed apt).
Spier Private Collection Sauvignon Blanc 2008
Like mothers milk - pale yellow/green - almost see through. Beautifully balanced acidity in harmony with subtle and refreshing fruit flavours. Addictive tropical fruit nose, zesty palate and a soft, mouth watering finish.
This is a top notch Sav Blanc - I was pleasantly surprised and wouldn’t even hesitate getting another bottle for sundowners.

“Like mothers milk - pale yellow/green - almost see through” - This line could be seriously misconstrued.
Although, I agree the wine is exceptional!
