Platters Five Star Wines 2010

Well, here they are - the Platters Five Star Wines 2010 - all 41 of them ( a record by the way)!
I can’t comment too much because I have admittedly only tried about 5 of these wines. What I can say is that its encouraging to see so many small and relatively ‘unknown’ producers on the list, the inclusion of unusual varietals such as Grenache on the list is also great. Furthermore Woolworths features quite prominently - which means their selection team must have done something right!

The South African wine industry is alive an well my friends - that or the judging panel have had a change in heart and/or strategy!

Yes Yes Yes. Where have you been? Your fans have felt neglected. I seem to recall drinking a few good wines with you recently, maybe the dribbling masses would like to know about them.

@ pete - you double counted the two wines of the year. havent tried the diesel pinotage yet. looking forward to it.
@ kesh - soon as my eco’s exam is over i’ll write about those amazing wines - they were almost too good for words though.

So does anyone know where to buy any of the listed Woolworths wines (Woolworths Cape Point Vineyards Sauvignon Blanc Limited Release 2009, Woolworths Steenberg Sauvignon Blanc-Semillon Reserve 2009, Woolworths Tulbagh Mountain Vineyards Spectrum White Limited Release 2008, Woolworths Jordan Cobblers Hill Classic 2005)? I can’t find them in any Cape Town Woolworths store, nor on woolworths.co.za?
