God Bless Africa

When you wake up on a morning like today - where the air is full with the energy of summer and the magnificence of the Cape is sprawled out before you - it’s hard not to feel emotions of intense belonging and blessing.
A prayer that we used to say in junior school came to mind:
God Bless Africa
Guard Her Children
Guide Her Leaders
And Give Her Peace
For Jesus Christ’s Sake
Amen.
Religious undertones aside - the word’s couldn’t be more apt.
On the topic of being patriotic - I dare you to try the sumptuous Grangehurst Pinotage or the silky Rijks Pinotage and then try and tell me that Pinotage is a dud varietal.
