@thecru @JeanriTine Nice. Well, we once got ciabattas delivered to the restaurant with a razor blade baked in one of them. Beat that?!

When I was a student in London, The Cordon Bleu had a super little restaurant down Marylebone Lane and I used to walk past at Lunch Time and look at the beautiful cakes and salads in the window. One day there was a beautiful green caterpillar reaching heavenwards on a bright green salad leaf. I rushed inside and told them about it. Miss Sharland who was the Principal of the school was stunned and flushed up like a Victorian spinster!

Peter May, a few weeks ago I challenged The Cru Master to draw you out of your silence, as, for a while now, you have obviously found nothing worthwhile on which to comment on The Cru. I have missed your erudite words. I thought his post on the pinotage from Camberley might do the trick. But no, it was aliens in food that forced you to break your silence. I see though, that you guys from mud island are still recovering from England’s disastrous World Cup. You only managed to blurt out one word. By the way - what is wrong with cheese in food? I know the French make smelly cheese and the USA make it out of plastic and you guys make some stuff that Grommet eats. Ah, maybe that is why you dislike cheese. Mind you, Shawza3 and I have been enjoying a bit of Stilton with some beautiful port that is about twenty years old and came out of the bottom of my late Father’s booze cabinet. The label has faded into a mush of red and black and the words cannot be read properly- but boy is it tastey. Glad to see you are still around.

I once found a slug on my spinach. Repugnant!!! I managed to eat the slug, but just couldn’t bring myself to face the spinach.
